The public record — when the odds move, it's written here.
DogLeg's whole promise is that the odds never lie, which only means something if you can see when they moved. Every change to how a shot resolves is logged as an odds change; features and fixes are listed too.

The map stopped walking your ball backwards
On holes with a long bunker running down the side — a waste bunker, the Church Pews — the map drew your ball at the middle of the sand no matter where along it you actually were. Catch the front end with 40 yards left and the ball appeared halfway back down the hole, behind the drive that put it there, while the yardage beside it counted down correctly. Nothing about the shot itself was wrong: the lie you were in, the yardage you had left and the odds you were offered were all the real ones. It was the picture that lied, which is worst in a replay, where you watch the ball travel the wrong way. A ball in a long bunker now sits at its own yardage, on the side it is really on.

Somebody else can be called Jacob too
Clubhouse names used to be one to a customer, which sounds fair until you meet it: the name it most often refused you was your own. Clear your browser, pick up a new phone, reinstall — this game has no password, so that device arrives as a stranger, and typing the name you have always played under got you "that name is taken" by your own old scorecard, with no way round it. Names are now shared. Take the one you want even if somebody already answers to it; the boards have always sorted players out by more than what they are called. The one exception is a name held by a player who has added an email address for cross-device sync — that is a claim we can actually honour, so we reserve it for them. If you would like your name held that way, add an email in the clubhouse panel and it is yours.

Safe no longer aims at the middle of a lake
On five holes with a long forced carry off the tee, the safe line was drawn mostly onto water — most of the landing band sat in the hazard, while the odds beside it still read like a fairway. Safe now either takes enough club to clear the carry, where your bag reaches the far side, or stops short of it, where it does not. Because the line moved to ground you can actually hold, the numbers beside it are now the odds for the shot you are being shown. Two things deliberately did not change: where safe only clips the edge of a hazard, that is a real risk you are choosing and it stays priced that way; and the bolder two lines are untouched, because their odds always did tell you how wet they were.

Sign your scorecard before you tee off
Golfers sign their card, so now you do too. Tap Tee off without a clubhouse name and you get the card for the course you are about to play — holes, pars and a line for your name. Sign it and you go straight to the tee. It is one line, once: the name sticks to the identity your dice were already salted for, so nothing about the round changes, and every board, record and trophy you win from then on has somebody standing behind it. Names are first come, first served. If we cannot reach the clubhouse to check yours, you tee off anyway — a lost signal has never stopped a round of DogLeg and it does not start now.

A badge for the rounds that beat you up
There is a new hidden achievement waiting in Awards, and you earn it by having a bad day: finish a full round with more bogeys or worse than pars or better and it turns up on your shelf. That takes a card where the damage outnumbers everything that held — some rounds are just for the résumé. It counts every time you manage it.

Claim the hole in one you just made
A hole in one or an albatross played without a clubhouse name used to go in the books under nobody — no name on the card, no line on any board, and no way to fix it later. Now the moment plays out exactly as it always has, and when you tap on, you get one card asking if you want to put your name on it. You can claim a clubhouse name right there, mid-round, without waiting for the scorecard — the name lands on the identity you were already playing under, so the round in your hands keeps the dice it was dealt. Tap "not now" and nothing changes.

The course list remembers your sort and filters
Unlimited play reset its sort and filters every time you left, so a curated view had to be rebuilt on every visit. Your last configuration now sticks — the season/all-time toggle, every filter, favorites, and the sort — and it comes back clearly marked, with a one-tap reset. If a remembered view ever matches nothing (say a season rollover reopened the records an old filter was hunting), the list says the filters are why, not that your courses are gone.

A new address: playdogleg.com
The game moved to playdogleg.com — shorter, and easier to pass on. Share text and replay links point there from now on. An old bookmark still works and brings your clubhouse with it: your name, streak, records and saved rounds all come across on the first visit. If you had added an email for cross-device sync, that one thing cannot follow you between two addresses — sign in once more and this device is synced exactly as it was.

Find your next record
Unlimited play’s course list learned to hunt: filter by difficulty, by what you’ve played, by open or beatable records — season or all-time, your pick — star your target courses, and sort the whole board by what’s winnable. Fifty courses, one shortlist.

Challenge links: beat this round
Finish an unlimited round and throw it down as a challenge. Whoever taps the link plays the same course against your actual round — one attempt, their own luck, ties don't take it. Beat a challenge and you get to send the revenge link. Challenge rounds are real rounds: course and season records are live the whole way. Settle it in the group chat.

The course list now says how many course records were set in the past week — and how many of those fell in daily play, crown and all. A quiet week says nothing.

The hunt is on
The Teebox now tells you how many season records are within reach — wide open boards and beatable numbers both — and one tap drops you on the course list sorted by what’s winnable. Go take one.

You now end up in the bunker — and the lake — you actually found
When an approach found trouble, the game picked which bunker or lake off a list that treated every one in range as equally likely, so one eighty yards short of the green came up about as often as the one beside it. Then it ignored that pick: sand always dropped you greenside, which is why a bunker shot sometimes drew your ball on open grass beside the green, and a lateral water penalty always dropped you a fixed distance out, which could hand you a free forty yards. Now the odds weight hazards by how likely that miss really is, and you finish where you actually went in. Greenside sand is still a splash; sand out in the fairway leaves you a full shot, and a water drop goes back to the water rather than up the hole. Twenty-two courses moved a point of difficulty, most of them down.

Daily rounds now count for course records
They always should have. Post a daily that beats the best score ever shot on that course and the record is yours — season and all-time both. We made it right: past daily rounds have been counted back in. Win a CR during a daily round and your score gets a crown in unlimited play.

Real greens were being measured at half their size
Every course drawn from real-world maps had its greens come out about half as deep as they really are. That put the front edge too close to the pin, so sand guarding the front of a green was not always counted as guarding it, and those bunkers read as slightly less dangerous than they are. All 199 holes are re-measured against the real green. No course changed its difficulty rating.

Season records are worth defending too

Achievements
The Clubhouse grows an Awards tab: named ranks for every pursuit — birdies, streaks, records, rounds — plus one-off badges, a few of them hidden until you stumble into them. Your whole history counts from day one: anything you’d already earned is waiting on the shelf.

No more trees on treeless courses
Drive it somewhere nobody mapped and the game used to put you "in the trees" — even on a links with not a tree on it, and it drew your ball sitting on the fairway while it said so. Now each course names its own junk, and the ball is drawn where you actually are.

Welcome to DogLeg 2.0
One week after launch, we’ve stepped up our design game: a full rebadge of the menus and branding, a post-round wrap screen that leads with your score, your share card, and a proper leaderboard — plus small tweaks under the hood to make your card a little sexier when it hits the group chat. The golf is untouched — keep on swingin’.

A par 3 you can bail out on
Some short holes now dogleg around their own trouble: safe and normal lay up short of it, and only aggressive goes at the flag. A new shape of hole rather than a new course.
